Friends of the Library
Our mission statement: We are a non-profit organization committed to the improvement and development of services offered by the Henderson Public Library. Membership is free. All we ask for is your willingness to be involved in brainstorming ideas, assisting to arrange programs and co-hosting special events. We meet at the Henderson Public Library, lower level on the 3rd Monday of the month at 6:30P.M., August through June. You are welcome to attend any meeting to see if you would like to be a member. The Friends do 1- 2 fundraising events a year to help meet the needs of the library. The money raised helps to provide library programs and activities. Events we sponsor are the Fundraiser Tea in November, winter garden lectures, spring book sale, and provide Scholastic books monthly to each child in the Henderson preschool. We also participate in other community activities. Our goal is to promote the use of the Henderson Public Library and encourage reading and learning for people all ages. The Friends work together with the Library Board and the Library staff. Contact: President Leanne Reinhardt (507) 380-0748 or Treasurer Beth Cornish (507) 560-0153 |
