Sibley Post 74 American Legion


Hi there future Member! Are you a Proud Vet? Did you serve our great Country? If so, we need you! Legion Post 74 is actively looking for Veterans to become members of our Historic Club. Our Post was Chartered in 1919 by a group of Local Vets returning from WW I. We are looking for new members to help ensure our Posts future. We are active in the Community of Henderson and participate in many of the surrounding towns events. We know your time is limited; we to have obligations just like you. Please know that you can be as active in the Post as you would like. We welcome your Spouses and Children to join us as well. We are a family orientated Post that believes we can endure the Mission and solidify Henderson Legion Post 74’s Legacy. Below we have a list of Events and Activities that we engage in annually. Remember, you can be as active as you want to be.

  2. St Patrick’s Day Parade (Le Center) - March
  3. Easter Egg Hunt (Henderson) - March/April
  4. Pine Board Derby (Henderson) open to Kids & Adults - April
  5. American Flag Install and Removal for City (Henderson) - April (Install) & November (Removal)
  6. Memorial Day (Henderson) Presentation in Bender Park - May
  7. Pride Day (Henderson) Spring clean-up event around Town - May
  8. Car Cruise (Henderson) Every Tuesday for 4 months manning our Raffle Booth, May-September
  9. Sauerkraut Days Parade (Henderson) -June
  10. BBQ Days Parade (Belle Plaine) - July
  11. Giant Days Parade (Le Sueur) - July
  12. Veterans Day (Henderson & Le Sueur) Visiting and Presenting at 5 Local Schools - November
  13. Arli-Dazzle Holiday Parade (Arlington) - December
  14. Monthly Post Meeting every 3rd Thursday at 7pm. Mtg held at Rd Haus. (NO Mtg in Dec.)
  15. Multiple Funeral Details/Honor Guard (Henderson & Le Sueur) - As called upon by Families


We are very involved in our Community and truly need you expertise to further our Campaign. Again, you set your comfort level. We understand that you cannot make every event and that is no problem! Our Annual dues for Membership are currently set at $40.00; this is a small contribution to ensure you have Veterans standing with you in life and in death. Membership comes with many retail, hotel and rental discounts too include a small Life Insurance Policy.
