The Ney Nature Center (NNC) is home to 446 acres of all the natural world has to offer – forests, prairie, meadows, bluffs, creeks, and a variety of wildlife. Conveniently located halfway between the Twin Cities and Mankato with access from Hwy 169, the Ney Nature Center has something for everyone!
Our Vision: Inspire appreciation and respect for nature. Our Mission: The Ney Nature Center manages and protects the Ney Wildlife Preserve through education and interaction with the natural world. As a Le Sueur County park, exploration hours are from sunup until sundown. The Education Building, which houses the office and staff, is open Monday - Friday 9 - 5. Winter rental hours are listed on our website Feel free to bring your furry dog friend with to enjoy the exciting trail system, but please keep them on a leash and pick up their waste. We have a place to dispose of filled dog bags near the first parking lot.
